Un viaggio tra il lavoro e l’innovazione tecnologica di una comunità che ha saputo rigenerarsi aprendosi al futuro, fino a diventare la prossima Capitale Europea dello Spazio.
Un docufilm con la fiction interpretata da Alessandro Haber, e le interviste di Antonio Pennacchi, Massimo Cacciari, Emilio Gentile, Claudia Conforti, Luigi Prestinenza Puglisi, Maurizio Morandi e altri autorevoli nomi.
Archetype of the Foundation City of the 1900s. Over a century of progress and development through fiction set in a factory and its inhabited center, from the Liberty Workers' Village, to Riccardo Morandi's plan, the urban and social evolution from the rationalist city of the 1930s, to the Corporate City of postwar period. A journey between work and technological innovation of a community that has been able to regenerate itself by opening up to the future, to become the next European Space Capital.
A docufilm with fiction interpreted by Alessandro Haber, and interviews by Antonio Pennacchi, Massimo Cacciari, Emilio Gentile, Claudia Conforti, Luigi Prestinenza Puglisi, Maurizio Morandi and other authoritative names.

The Series
Città Novecento nasce da un’intensa attività di ricerca sul tema delle Città di Fondazione. L’opportunità di realizzare una serie di docufilm tematici è stato un passaggio scaturito dall’interesse emerso su questo tema e dalla disponibilità di documentazione visiva e grafica di altissima qualità, spesso ancora inedita. Colleferro, la Città Fabbrica della B.P.D., protagonista di questo esordio, grazie al titolo, di Città della Cultura della Regione Lazio 2018, è stata l’occasione per ampliare il tema della Città di Fondazione con quello dell’innovazione tecnologica e del rapporto tra industria e centri abitati.
Ulteriore elemento di interesse è quello dato dal progettista Riccardo Morandi, maestro dell’ingegneria del '900, salito alla cronaca con la tragedia del Ponte sul Polcevera, un’opera monumentale che vogliamo ricordare viva, proprio nei giorni nel quale viene pubblicato un documentario che celebra la sua demolizione. La Colleferro di Città Novecento è anche la Città dello Spazio, il Villaggio Operaio che si rigenera in oltre un secolo diventando oggi Capitale Europea dello Spazio.
Città Novecento was born from an intense research activity on the theme of Foundation Cities. The opportunity to create a series of thematic documentary films was a step that arose from the interest that emerged on this topic and from the availability of visual and graphic documentation of the highest quality, often still unpublished. Colleferro, the Factory City of BPD, protagonist of this debut, thanks to the title of City of Culture of the Lazio Region 2018, was an opportunity to expand the theme of the City of Foundation with that of technological innovation and the relationship between industry and inhabited centers.
Another element of interest is that given by the designer Riccardo Morandi, master of engineering of the '900, who rose to the news with the tragedy of the Ponte sul Polcevera, a monumental work that we want to remember alive, precisely in the days in which a documentary is published celebrating its demolition. The Colleferro of Città Novecento is also the City of Space, the Workers' Village that regenerates itself in over a century, becoming today the European Capital of Space.
